With different exhibitions every 2 weeks, you will always find something fresh and interesting whenever you visit us.

We show a wide range of work from emerging to more established artists, individuals and groups, students, schools and community groups. We have our art Loan and artist in Residence, approximately 22 exhibitions per year including 4 artist members' group shows, our Secret Postcard fundraiser community show, our Christmas Market and more!

MEMBERSHIP
As a not-for-profit self-funding art gallery, we rely on membership to support us. You do not have to be an artist to join, anyone can be a member knowing you’re not only keeping our little art space alive, but there are some great member benefits to enjoy!
Membership Costs
Individuals £15 per year
Artists £20 per year
It’s such a great way to support us so please spread the word to friends, family and neighbours encouraging them to join as well.

Cards, gifts & prints
We hold a wide range of cards and prints from 50+ artists, gifts and accessories from almost 20 local artists, designers and makers, and jewellery by 5 local designers and makers.
We only stock cards and prints by artists who have taken part in our shows and you’ll find some of our regular Christmas Market makers in our year-round gift range so there’s plenty of choice!

ART LOAN
Our Art Loan scheme is a great benefit we offer to all our members.
The idea is simple. Any member is welcome to borrow a piece of artwork for up to 6 months free of charge. If you love it and can’t bear to part with after that, you can buy it! If not, just return it and choose another piece. The Art Loan events are held in January and July with a curated range of work offered for borrowing.
The hope is that more people will enjoy having original artwork in their homes and become art enthusiasts encouraging friends and neighbours too.

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE
We are very excited to announce that Ken McCalla has been offered this year’s Artist in Residence at Sprout Gallery . Look out for him in the gallery between Wednesday 30th July – Sunday 31st August 2025.
Ken lives and works in Tooting and has over 40 years of experience as a visual artist. He uses colourful imagery in his work to express a rich cultural heritage, while also exploring personal growth & celebrating harmony.
His focus during the Residency will be on printmaking and in his time in the gallery he will share an insight into his working process. To encourage community engagement Ken will include 6 print workshops open to the public (dates will be advertised nearer the time)
The Residency will allow him the physical space & the time to focus on his own printmaking ideas with a view to creating a solo print exhibition; and it will also provide an opportunity to hear feedback directly from the public.
He will also offer an Artist interview and a peer collaboration event.
We look forward to welcoming you to Sprout during August to meet Ken and to join in the workshops!

volunteering
Sprout is run entirely by volunteers, we have no paid staff.
Would you like to be part of our volunteering team?
You don’t have to be an artist, we need lots of different skills - here are just some examples of tasks our volunteers do:

Being on a rota to keep Sprout open Tuesday to Sunday

helping to meet and greet and help with our ‘meet the artists’ evenings

help with hanging exhibitions

general admin for example data entry onto spreadsheets

printing labels
-
tidying and cleaning

maintenance and light repairs

and more!
